Community Groups
Community Groups are identified through the ministry framework of:
Gather: joining together on an ongoing, regular, and consistent basis with others centered on building authentic relationships and worshipping God together
Grow: developing spiritual disciplines and theological understanding with Bible-based teaching, discussions, and prayer
Serve: meeting the needs of the congregation and community with unconditional love and sacrificial service
Share: telling others about faith joyfully and developing disciples of Jesus with the intent of welcoming in new group members of all ages and stages
Multiply: extending the impact of the group and continuing the discipleship process through developing and launching new groups and raising up new group leaders
At Westwood, we believe loving people is best done in community where we can pray for each other, serve one another, give to each other’s needs, and do life together. Groups exist to be a place of authentic community as believers join together on the adventure of following Jesus. Westwood Community Groups are small groups (approximately 8-16 adults) that meet weekly (or no less than bi-weekly) and are growing in the Gospel while doing life together. Some groups meet at Westwood Sunday morning, other groups meet throughout the community at homes, restaurants, and cafes.
